Tuolumne County Artists getting ready again…

November 1st, 2008 by B.Z. · 1 Comment ·

Our county is blessed with hundreds of amazing artists!  That’s what we’re celebrating at the Foothill Farmlands ARTS Festival.  But, of course, those folks keep working, producing, creating all year long.  I just got word from Kathleen Imlach and Patti Cherry that Sonora Art Trails #4 is in the works.  Keep your sites on this wonderful art studio tour in May 2009.

If you are a Tuolumne County artist and you’re interested in being a part of this fabulous event, please check out the website: http://www.sonoraarttrails.org/.   Contact Patti or Kathleen through the website to get information on participating as an artist.  This is a great opportunity to get serious about your own artwork and to start building an audience for your work.

Well, my sweetie and I are taking a little drive up Big Hill Rd. to Sierra Glen Ranch this afternoon. A gentle rain is falling; the air is cool and crisp.  The Sierra is rich with autumn color, and Sierra Glen is one of the most perfect spots to see just that!  Ooh, a slice of pie and coffee to boot at the ranch bake shop!  After our dreadful frost last April, I’m not sure that there will be apple pie, but I bet there will some little fruity treat.  By the way, Sierra Glen thinking about planting stone fruit on their farm–Peaches, Plums, Nectarines.  How about a Necta-Plum™ from the Dave Wilson Nursery, who is one of our wonderful sponsors for the Foothill Farmlands ARTS Festival?

And tomorrow I’m working in the garden–rain or shine.  Now that there’s a bit of rain, my shovel will able to cut into our hard red clay dirt!  To all our readers, please enjoy this beautiful season…

Welcome to November!
